Queer community

I believe the first step to honoring queer culture is honoring the diversity and unique expression of every single person, and creating space for everyone to bring their authentic selves. As a therapist and clinician, I have been passionate about serving and advocating for the queer community throughout my career. I have both experience and understanding that our identities lie on a spectrum, and often change and grow with us over time. Having someone to share what is coming up around your identity/ies can help you move forward feeling grounded and confident

I offer a compassionate and non-judgemental space in which you do not have to explain yourself, as much as explore what is true for you in this moment. I offer support to identify your intention, whether you are:

  • questioning an identity that no longer seems to fit,

  • working through pieces of internalized oppression,

  • working on coming out to your community,

  • experiencing relationship challenges that do not fit cis-gendered heteronormative standards,

  • considering or actively transitioning,

  • considering or experiencing pregnancy, parenting and family transitions as a queer person

It may just be that you want to work on other life issues, while being seen for exactly who you are. The bottom line for me as a therapist is to honor and support your journey of relating to yourself with love and acceptance. I offer a safe and affirming space to connect with your authentic self, and support to move towards what you are wanting to create.
